The second of our event titled "Our International Tradition, Our Future and Our Masters", the first of which was held in 2021, will be held as a Symposium, Workshop and Exhibition between 20-22 October 2023.
In the symposium to be held within the scope of the event, theoretical information in the field of "Traditional Turkish Arts" and "Islamic Arts" will be presented and discussed; In the workshop part, the implementation of applied studies in which our competent and veteran masters and craftsmen can convey their experiences; In the exhibition part, it will allow the exhibition of the mixed exhibition with a jury and guests. All of our works in question will be on an international scale, and our domestic and foreign academicians and artists who will join us will contribute to our fields.
Our arts, which have survived from the depths of our culture and are called traditional arts; The current situation today, the adaptation of the tradition from the past to today's conditions, and the discussion of some problems that arise in this process and their adaptation to the present are important issues that should be evaluated during the program process.
In these days, where the academy and workshops provide training with a kind of master-apprentice method and our traditional arts are making rapid progress in the digital world, what kind of shape it can turn into in the future is among the issues that should be evaluated in terms of traditional education in terms of production and the distance education method in the COVID pandemic process.
In the Workshop part of the event, the workshops will be at the forefront. In this process, undergraduate and graduate students studying in the field of traditional arts will be provided with the opportunity to meet with academicians and artists, to embody their theoretical knowledge with practical observations, to have the opportunity to interview with artists who have spent a lifetime in these fields, and to create an environment of experience sharing with them. In the exhibition phase, it is aimed to present the works of art created by our artists who set their heart on our Traditional Arts, to be exhibited both during the program and in the following process, after passing the jury.
The “II. Our International Tradition, Our Future and Our Masters" symposium, exhibition and workshop organization, this year has a special feature as it has been declared as the "100th Anniversary of the Republic" and the "Year of Mevlana 2023". The active role of the Mawlawi Lodges and Mawlawi dervishes in the maintenance of our traditional arts and the revival of traditional arts in the Republican period make the importance of this event, which we will organize this year, even more important.
The original articles of our researchers, who produce works in different fields of our traditional arts and conduct research and analysis in these fields, will be published after passing the referee process in accordance with the universal principles and values of science.
